As a mentor there, I have to confess to some embarrassment and disappointment at their handling of whatever the situation is. It would seem to transcend incompetence into the irresponsible. At least a few emails could've been sent and a temp page setup to explain the situation/decision. They have a responsibility to their supporters and volunteers and users, which they appear to've abandoned.
While I have been a bit remiss in visiting recently, it is disappointing to find WF still not up & about...
This is the sort of thing that kills websites.
